The Mad Hatter is continuing its tradition of quality name brand clothing, gifts, and accessories for children with its new second-generation store at Bangor Mall, 663 Stillwater Avenue, Bangor, Maine.
Lynne and Tammy Walton started The Mad Hatter in Presque Isle, Maine, in 1978. Over the years the store has evolved into Aroostook County’s most elite children’s fashion center. The Mad Hatter prides themselves in having the largest selection of quality, name-brand children’s clothing North of Boston in sizes ranging preemie to 16 girls and boys size 7.
In May 2007, Lynne and Tammy retired from their final location at The Aroostook Centre Mall in Presque Isle, Maine, and passed The Mad Hatter legacy onto Lynne’s daughter Harmony Allen of Brewer, Maine.
With The Mad Hatter now being located at one of Bangor’s easiest finds (the end of the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge), Harmony is excited to extend the great service and expertise of shopping for children’s clothing that was the dream of her mother and aunt.
As always, The Mad Hatter offers free gift wrapping, free lay-a-way, and an extra-large play area so Moms and Dads can enjoy this truly one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Extra, to all those too tired or just want to be amused, The Mad Hatter in Bangor, has added a luxurious sitting area, complete with pedestal and three-way mirror for your very own fashion show!!!
At The Mad Hatter, you can choose from a large selection of classic play-wear, dresses, formal wear (including tuxedos), communion, christening, swimwear, outerwear, and dance attire including tutu’s, tights and leotards. Brand names include Little Me, Vitamins, Sweet Pea, Minibasix, Osh Kosh, Health-Tex, Danskin, Flapdoodles, Robeez, Pedipeds, and a beautiful selection of hand-knit sweaters, hats and blankets born right here in Maine.
